POST OPERATIVE
Recommended Schedule
PostOp-Induration is a term that refers to the hardening or firmness of tissues that occurs after surgery, commonly due to the body's inflammatory response to trauma. It can manifest as a localized thickening or firm area beneath the skin, often around surgical sites, and is usually caused by an accumulation of fluid, collagen deposits, or healing tissue.
PostOp-Indur is a modality of the Body Altering Aesthetics industry. This treatment style uses a variation of methods, approaches, and treatments ranging from hand ambulation along a pressure gradient of 1-6 mmHG and kinetic device inclusion that manually moves fluid through a post-surgical client’s tissue with a heightened focus on skin integrity, torso physique, skin tautness and retraction, and vascular hygiene. In this modality, clients receive trauma remodeling treatments from Day 8-Week 8 after invasive surgery.
BAA Convalescence: Convalescence in body altering aesthetics refers to the dynamic healing process following surgical or non-surgical procedures. It encompasses the fluctuations in edema, induration, and tissue presentation as the body undergoes repair and remodeling. Unlike accidental trauma, this process is intentional and essential for achieving the desired aesthetic outcome. The convalescent period typically spans weeks to months, depending on the complexity of the procedure and individual patient factors.
Current standard POI frequency of treatment follows a generic schedule— depending on client tolerance, temperament, contraindications, complications, and presentation.
The standardized PostOp schedule is as follows:
Week 1
Everyday for 7 days (Incisional)
Weeks 2-5
Twice a week, with at least 3 days in between each treatment to not overstimulate the tissue
Weeks 6-8
Once a week
Optional continuance schedule (Weeks 9-12)
Client receives a treatment every other week and then switches to maintenance appointments
Optional Continuance Schedule:
Client transitions to once a month POI Maintenance treatments for 3 months, then transitions to once every 3 months for the next 2 years to maintain results achieved
Optional continuance schedule:
Client transitions to POBC treatments with 4 week body cycles

We will discuss your medical history, surgical history and previous treatments prior to us in depth to have a complete understanding of where you are in your healing process and what appropriate treatments would be beneficial for you.
DURING
It’s our pleasure to do all the work, so why don’t you just relax? We'll take care of everything! This massage will help minimize swelling after surgery, reduce pain levels, and minimize the chances of stretch marks, wrinkles, uneven areas on your skin.
AFTER
Following your treatment, you may resume your usual activities. Remember to take it easy, though, as you are still in the recovery stage of your cosmetic procedure. You will notice significant pain relief and a noticeable reduction in swelling.
